Seven Lessons and Carols
Seven Lessons and Carols is a charming Christmas service for children (or families) of any age, suitable for schools and churches. It has seven carols: five new and original, composed by Sheila Wilson, and two traditional. The readings have been shared between 25 children, but this number can easily be adapted to the size of your group. It's a perfect choice for an easy but meaningful and enjoyable Christmas service.
The wordbook also includes suggestions for incorporating a simple Nativity into the readings, so that younger children can participate. And at the end there are seven assemblies drawn from the service, making this an invaluable Christmas term resource.
The carols include the jubilant 'Let the bells ring', the gentle 'Prince of peace', 'Gloria' (with two-part singing), 'Away in a manger' and 'Ding, dong merrily on high'.
