Perfect for an easy but impressive show! One of the most popular and well-loved nativities in the UK, Hosanna Rock has been performed by thousands of schools and churches. Its eleven short songs and reprise are catchy and quick to learn. The play and narration are simple; the nativity story is traditional, but the music is fun and includes rock, blues and a lullaby ... the whole effect is heart-warming, entertaining, and often brings a tear.
There are thirteen speaking/singing parts, plus extra narrators, angels, and children from many lands (for the multicultural anthem 'You are my brother'). Includes simple, optional, two-part singing. Full permission is given if you wish to extend the dialogue, or add extra parts (such as Herod and his soldiers). An easy but impressive show, loved by children and parents, which ends with a poignant bible verse and a hand-jiving finale.
